Grant writing
I am currently working as project coordinator with the new media/dance-film company Mouvement Perpétuel with co-directors Philip Szporer and Marlene Millar, researching and writing grants and other written materials, as well as coordinating distribution to potential venues and festivals.
Artists and cultural workers also regularly approach me for help with editing and writing a wide range of texts in both English and French. I tailor my approach to include a mix of independent writing and side-by-side editing, with the aim of sharing strategies that make the artist more confident and autonomous in their future work. Reach out if you are looking for help, be it for grants, project descriptions, bios, etc.
Arts advocacy
In 2019, I was coopted to the board of the Regroupement québecois de la danse, and in 2020 was elected by members to a two-year mandate. If you have things to share or suggest about the RQD’s relationship to Québec dance communities, I’m all ears!
I am also an organizer and founder of the arts non-profit Nous Sommes L’Été, which sets up research-focused creative laboratories and encounters for dance artists in Montreal and Québec to develop their voice and craft. Learn more at lete.ca.
