Montreal to London and back

The Gentle Art of Punishment is at Wildside Festival January 11-20, 2019

Following its premiere at Montreal’s Festival ZH in August 2017, and three shows at the Camden People’s Theatre in London in January 2018 as part of Calm Down, Dear – a festival of feminist performance, The Gentle Art of Punishment returns to Montreal for the Wildside Festival at the Centaur Theatre in Montréal.

Five artists working in theatre, dance, sound and light design collaboratively devised this multidisciplinary piece. Three women unravel their girlhoods in a dreamlike and nostalgic narrative. The Gentle Art of Punishment is for anyone who has ever had a crush on their therapist – or thinks that Drew Barrymore is under-appreciated in her dramatic roles.
